The mentor uses diction as a way to communicate with different kinds of people. Generally between how he communicates to his older or younger readers. He also uses "syntax" in almost a persuasive way to make thing bigger than they actually are. The mentor also uses a certain tone while taking about the younger crowds to the older people to make the teenagers sound really bad and to make the readers think hat there all the same. To cause more dramatic tension to the topic in which hes talking about.
